The problem we kept seeing.
Every IT leader we spoke to said the same thing. Sourcing the right vendor takes weeks. Comparing quotes takes more. The first agency promises the world, the second sends a junior, the third never replies. Projects start late, scope creeps, and accountability disappears the moment the contract is signed.
That isn't a technology problem. It's a market problem. The IT services market is enormous and noisy, and there is no easy way to tell the senior teams from the chancers. Buyers waste their best hours on procurement instead of on the work that matters.
"Tell me what you need. I will get it done." That sentence is missing from most of the market. Apex Options exists to put it back.
What we actually do.
We are an intermediary that takes accountability. You send us a brief. Within 30 minutes, a human replies with next steps. We then source two or three vetted vendors from our network of 200+, give you transparent side-by-side quotes, and once you choose, we project-manage the work from kickoff to handover. One point of contact. One PO. One outcome.
We don't take a cut from the vendor. We don't push you toward the highest commission. We are paid by results, which means our incentives are aligned with yours: get the right team in, deliver the right outcome, move on.
How we choose to work.
// Reply in 30 minutes
Every brief, every time. Day or night. A human, not a bot. If we miss the window, the first sprint is on us.
// Senior teams only
Vendors are reference-checked, finance-checked and rated. Whoever you get is the team that built the case studies, not a bench replacement.
// Transparent pricing
You see what each vendor charges, in plain English. No hidden margins. No "from £x" theatre. The number on the page is the number you pay.
// Plain English
No jargon, no buzzwords, no synergistic value propositions. We write the way a CIO friend would talk to you in the pub.
// Independent advice
We are paid by outcomes, not by who you pick. Our recommendation is the one we'd give a friend.
// UK-first, GDPR-native
UK-domiciled vendors by default. ISO, IR35 and data-residency considered from the first conversation, not bolted on at the end.
The Founder.
Benedict Young
Founder, Apex Options Ltd
With over 10 years of IT experience running technology for hotels, ships, restaurants, delivery platforms (Uber Eats, Just Eat, Toast POS) and luxury real estate (Sotheby's), Benedict has lived inside the IT delivery problem at scale. From provisioning kitchen POS systems across multi-site restaurants, to keeping shipboard IT running mid-Atlantic, to standing up hospitality networks under brand SLAs, the pattern was always the same: too many vendors, too little accountability, too much wasted time on procurement.
Combined with the senior experience of the wider Apex Options team, that operational knowledge shapes how we run every project today: with the calm of a CIO who's been there before, and the speed of an operator who knows the cost of waiting.
Who we are.
Apex Options Ltd is the one-stop IT marketplace for UK business. We are a UK-registered company, founder-led, operated from the United Kingdom and serving clients UK-wide. We sit on both sides of the table: as buyers running RFPs, and as deliverers running projects. We started Apex Options because we kept watching capable buyers waste good budget on the wrong vendors, and capable vendors lose to louder ones.
We don't just match you with qualified vendors. We monitor the project end-to-end, all the way through to completion and handover. You give the requirements, you sign off the brief, you pay. Apex handles the delivery and the finish.
The team is small by design. We don't sell account managers. You speak to senior people from day one, and you keep speaking to them throughout your project.
We are growing. If you'd like to join the vendor network or partner with us, get in touch and we'll send you the qualifying brief.
What we believe.
Speed is a feature. A 30-minute reply at 11pm is worth more than a polished pitch deck two weeks later. Decisions get made when people get answers.
Honesty is cheaper than spin. Tell a buyer the truth about scope, cost and risk, and you keep them for life. Hide it and you keep them for one project.
Outcomes beat outputs. A deck full of deliverables means nothing if the platform doesn't work on launch day. We measure ourselves on the thing that shipped.
Markets reward calm. The IT services industry is loud and over-promising. Quiet competence wins, eventually. We are happy to wait.
